The course teaches participants the complex anatomy of the retromandibular, submandibular and temporal regions, how to diagnose a condylar fracture, and how to safely approach the fractured condyle, reduce the fracture, and stably fix it. Comprehensive lectures concentrate on the understanding of core material. Practical sessions teach the application of AO principles to the management of common injuries. Video demonstrations are used to supplement the practical exercises. Additionally, different approaches to fractures are demonstrated and then racticed hands-on on fresh frozen human cadaver heads. Discussions are held throughout the course.
